a new connective system is layered into the existing building — defining a tour path for clients and vendors through office departments and across to a new pre-fabrication facility.
a new layer is woven into the existing building, defining a tour path for clients and vendors through office departments and across to the new pre-fabrication facility. the path completes a functional and experiential circuit, consolidating once-disparate verticals onto a single headquarters campus.
a woven mesh ceiling system acts as a strong visual marker of the tour path — maintaining visibility to other building systems such as lighting and data trays, while overlapping into staff-centered gathering spaces and marking points of interface between departments.
topped by a translucent wall system, the typically utilitarian pre-fabrication warehouse is elevated to a showcase element with ample natural light on the interior. at night, the building acts as a luminous expression of walker engineering's work — visible across the campus.
